History
The Omega Seamaster line, introduced in 1948, was originally designed as a robust timepiece for active individuals, drawing upon the brand's experience producing reliable watches for the British military during the Second World War. By the 1970s, the Seamaster collection had evolved to include a wide variety of case shapes and dial designs, reflecting the bold aesthetic trends of the decade while maintaining Omega's commitment to mechanical quality. The Caliber 1012 is a respected automatic movement from this era, known for its high beat rate and reliable performance.
