Timegrapher: -7-10s/day, performing remarkably well. Dial and Hands The dial is exceptionally clean, featuring a pristine silver sunburst finish that catches the light beautifully. Applied indices feature contrasting black inserts that remain clean and intact, perfectly matched by the stick hands, which also display matching black inserts and clean surfaces free of visible oxidation or corrosion. All printed text is crisp with no visible loss, and the dial shows no visible spotting, staining, or moisture damage. Case and Crystal Presented in stainless steel, the case is honest and sharp, retaining well-preserved geometry and clean lines. Light superficial scratches are present, consistent with careful wear. The smooth integrated bezel remains in excellent condition, showing only minor hairline scratches. On the reverse, the caseback engravings remain deep and clearly legible, displaying the reference number and the text 'TOOL 106'. The watch is fitted with a domed acrylic crystal that is clear, with no significant crazing, chips, or scratches visible. A clearly signed Omega crown with well-defined knurling completes the case profile. Movement This De Ville is powered by an automatic mechanical movement. Tested on the timegrapher, it recorded a rate of -7-10s/day. Exhibiting remarkable accuracy and consistency, performing brilliantly for a vintage timepiece. Strap The watch is fitted with its original signed beads of rice bracelet, contributing to its classic and well-preserved character. The endlinks are stamped '564', and the clasp features a crisp applied Omega logo. The bracelet shows light wear and minor scratches on the clasp, accommodating a maximum wrist size of 18cm. Condition Excellent vintage condition. The stainless steel case is well-preserved, displaying clean lines and light superficial scratches consistent with age and careful use. The dial and hands are exceptionally pristine, showing no visible moisture damage or oxidation. The original beads of rice bracelet exhibits minor wear on the clasp but remains highly attractive. Supported by the recorded timegrapher results, the movement is performing very strongly. Dimensions The case measures 35mm in diameter, excluding the crown. Remarks This Omega De Ville presents a superb opportunity to acquire a classic 1970s dress watch in highly attractive condition. The combination of the pristine silver sunburst dial, striking black accents, and the original beads of rice bracelet makes this a compelling example for the enthusiast. History Introduced in the 1960s as a sophisticated line within the Seamaster family, the De Ville eventually became its own standalone collection in 1967. Omega created the De Ville to offer a more refined, elegant aesthetic compared to their robust sports models, while still retaining the brand's reliable mechanical architecture. During the 1970s, the collection expanded to include a variety of distinctive case shapes and dial designs, perfectly capturing the design language of the era. Today, classic De Ville models are highly regarded by collectors for their pure aesthetics, comfortable proportions, and enduring mechanical quality.
