The stick hands share the black inserts of the indices and remain in excellent condition, displaying clean surfaces with no significant oxidation or corrosion visible. Case and Crystal The 34mm stainless steel case is presented in honest vintage condition with normal signs of use. It features a polished finish, with light surface scratches and minor handling wear visible on the flanks and lugs. The lugs themselves retain good shape and definition. A smooth polished bezel integrates with the case, showing light surface scratches consistent with the rest of the watch. The caseback exterior shows light wear and displays a clear 'WATERPROOF' engraving. A signed Omega crown with defined knurling sits at the side. The domed acrylic crystal remains clear, with no significant scratches, crazing, or cracks visible. Movement Inside the watch is the manual wind Omega caliber 601, featuring seventeen jewels and adjusted to two positions. The copper-colored plating is bright and intact, presenting an excellent visual condition with no visible corrosion, oxidation, or significant scratches. The screw heads appear clean, and the movement is properly signed with the Omega Watch Co Swiss engraving, along with the correct caliber and serial numbers. Performing well within expected vintage tolerances; running strong and steady. The movement was serviced on 23 August 2026. Strap The watch is fitted with a fresh black leather strap featuring white contrast stitching and a generic buckle. The strap appears new or very lightly used, complementing the dial perfectly. Remarks This Genève offers an exceptionally clean silver sunburst dial and the reliable Caliber 601 movement in excellent visual condition. Housed in a classic 34mm stainless steel case with its signed Omega crown, it represents a highly attractive and accessible entry into vintage Omega collecting. History The Omega Genève line was introduced in 1953 as a nod to the brand's high-end watchmaking workshops in Geneva. By the late 1960s and early 1970s, the Genève collection had evolved into a versatile and highly successful range of elegant, everyday timepieces. Powered by robust and reliable movements like the manual-wind Caliber 601 series, these watches were produced in large numbers and celebrated for their straightforward, refined styling. Today, they are appreciated by collectors as highly wearable vintage dress watches that offer excellent mechanical quality and classic mid-century design.
