Applied baton indices with black inserts provide clear contrast, complemented by crisp printing of the Omega name, automatic designation, and Genève model script. The baton hands feature matching black inserts and display excellent preservation, with a clean finish free from visible oxidation or corrosion.
Case and Crystal
The 35mm stainless steel case is in honest vintage condition, displaying normal signs of use through light surface scratches across its brushed and polished finishes. The lug profiles remain well-defined. A smooth stainless steel bezel frames the dial, showing light surface wear consistent with the rest of the case. The watch is fitted with a signed crown bearing the Omega logo, which exhibits light wear along its knurled edge. A domed acrylic crystal protects the dial and remains clear, with no significant scratches or crazing visible.
Movement
Inside the case beats the automatic mechanical Omega caliber 1481, which features a copper-colored finish and a clean appearance with no visible corrosion or significant scratches. The rotor and bridges are well-preserved, and the movement displays clear engravings including the Omega Watch Co signature, the serial number 34746802, and the caliber number. This 21-jewel mechanism operates at 21,600 vibrations per hour and includes a quickset date function operated by pressing the crown. Recording +15+18s/day on the timegrapher. Exhibiting remarkable accuracy and consistency, performing brilliantly for a vintage timepiece.
Strap
The watch is fitted with its original signed bracelet, consisting of stainless steel folded links. It secures with a signed Omega folding clasp. The bracelet shows moderate wear and stretch consistent with its age, remaining highly appropriate for the period. It accommodates a maximum wrist fit of 19cm.
Condition
Excellent vintage condition. The dial and hands are remarkably clean and free of visible aging. The stainless steel case and bezel present honest vintage wear with light surface scratches while retaining good geometry and defined lugs. The domed acrylic crystal is clear and well-preserved. The original signed bracelet shows expected moderate stretch and wear. The movement is visibly clean and, supported by the recorded timegrapher results, is running strongly.
Dimensions
The case measures 35mm (excluding the crown).
