Dial and Hands
The vertically brushed champagne dial is a well-preserved highlight of this watch, presenting in excellent condition. Its crisp applied indices feature black inserts, complemented by intact lume plots at the outer edges. All printing remains sharp and fully legible. In contrast, the stick hands with matching black inserts are in fair condition, displaying visible age through oxidation, spotting, and surface degradation on their metal finish.
Case and Crystal
The gold-plated case shows honest wear, characterized by normal surface scratches and some minor softening on the lug edges. A smooth integrated bezel surrounds the dial, carrying light surface scratches consistent with the rest of the case. The watch retains its gold-tone crown, which is clearly signed with the Omega logo and features well-defined fluting. The interior of the stainless steel caseback is marked with the plating specifications. Protecting the dial is a domed acrylic crystal, which remains generally clear with minor superficial scratches typical of the material.
Movement
Powering this watch is a copper-colored Omega caliber 1012 automatic movement. The plates and bridges appear relatively clean with minor signs of age, while the rotor shows typical light wear. Factory engravings clearly read OMEGA, SWISS, 37295803, and 1012. The timegrapher records a rate of +2+6s/day. Exhibiting remarkable accuracy and consistency, performing brilliantly for a vintage timepiece.
Strap
The watch is paired with a classic black leather strap in good wearable condition. It is fitted with a gold-tone Omega signed buckle that properly complements the case material.
Condition
Good vintage condition. The gold-plated case and smooth bezel display honest wear and normal surface scratches, alongside minor softening on the lug edges. While the champagne dial is remarkably well-preserved, the hands show noticeable aging, including oxidation and spotting. The domed acrylic crystal has only minor superficial scratches. Supported by the recorded timegrapher result, the movement is performing very strongly.
Dimensions
The case measures 37mm (excluding the crown).
Remarks
This Genève offers a beautifully preserved vertically brushed dial that catches the light wonderfully. Complete with its signed crown and signed buckle, it delivers a highly recognizable and dependable vintage Omega experience.
