History
The Lord Matic line was introduced by Seiko in the late 1960s as a high-quality mid-tier offering, sitting just below the King Seiko and Grand Seiko ranges. Powered by the 5600 series of movements, these watches were celebrated for their slim profiles, reliable mechanics, and elegant dial designs. The 5606 caliber specifically became a key part of Seiko's automatic production during this era, highly regarded for its refined architecture and practical day and date complications.
