History Introduced in the late 1960s, the Lord Matic line was positioned just below the King Seiko and Grand Seiko ranges, offering high-quality movements and refined styling. The Special designation, introduced slightly later, indicated the use of the higher-grade 52-series calibers, which operated at a higher beat rate and featured improved mechanical refinement. The 5216 caliber is highly regarded among collectors for its sophisticated design and reliability, eventually serving as the architectural foundation for Seiko's modern 4S mechanical families. / Second Vintage SKU: SEI-ALJ-0024
