It is detailed with applied Seiko and LM logos, alongside applied faceted indices that catch the light beautifully. The original baton-style hands feature central lume strips that appear intact but aged. The metal surfaces of the hands display visible oxidation and pitting, providing an honest record of the watch's vintage character. A desirable Kanji day wheel complements the date window at three o'clock.
Case and Crystal
The stainless steel case retains its original geometry with honest vintage wear. It features brushed upper lug surfaces contrasting with polished flanks. Moderate scratches and handling marks consistent with age are present across the case, though no major dents or deep gouges are visible. An unsigned crown sits partially recessed into the case flank. Above the dial, the distinctive faceted crystal defines the profile of this piece; it remains in good condition but does exhibit several scratches on its flat surfaces and along the facet edges.
Movement
Inside beats the reliable Seiko caliber 5606A, a 25-jewel automatic movement. The plates and bridges present very cleanly, with no visible corrosion or moisture damage, and the rotor and surrounding components appear well preserved. Exhibiting remarkable accuracy and consistency, performing brilliantly for a vintage timepiece. The timegrapher records a rate of 12s+15s/day.
Strap
The watch is fitted with a modern strap in excellent condition. Crafted from black leather with white contrast stitching, the strap appears new or minimally worn and features an unsigned clasp.

Good vintage condition. Supported by the recorded timegrapher result, the movement is performing very strongly. The dial is exceptionally preserved, while the hands show expected age-related oxidation and pitting. The stainless steel case displays moderate scratches and handling marks consistent with its age, without any deep gouges. The distinctive faceted crystal shows several scratches on its surfaces and edges. The modern leather strap is in excellent, minimally worn condition.

Remarks
This Lord Matic presents a highly sought-after configuration with its vibrant blue gradient dial and striking faceted crystal. The addition of the Kanji day wheel and the strong performance of its automatic caliber make this a compelling acquisition for enthusiasts of Japanese design.
History
Introduced in 1968, the Lord Matic line was positioned just below the King Seiko and Grand Seiko families, offering high-quality automatic movements and sophisticated case designs to the Japanese domestic market. The 5600 series of calibers became a defining movement of the era, celebrated for its slim profile and reliable performance. Examples from this period, particularly those featuring bold dial colors and faceted crystals, reflect the experimental and highly creative design ethos of Seiko during a period of rapid horological advancement.
