Case and Crystal
The stainless steel case features a polished finish and classic mid-century dress watch geometry. It displays honest wear consistent with its age, including moderate scratches and wear visible on the case flanks and lugs. The smooth polished bezel shows light surface scratches consistent with the rest of the case. An unsigned knurled crown remains in good condition with defined ridges. The domed acrylic crystal is clear, showing no major scratches or crazing. Turning the watch over, the exterior of the caseback shows significant wear, resulting in faint engravings. Inside, the caseback is remarkably clean and features clear markings, including the distinctive Tsuru logo.
Movement
Inside beats the reliable manual wind Seikosha caliber 560, clearly engraved with its 19 jewels specification. The movement features generally clean plates and bridges, though some minor marks and light tarnish are visible on the screw heads and edges. Recording +13+15s/day on the timegrapher. Exhibiting remarkable accuracy and consistency, performing brilliantly for a vintage timepiece.

Serving as the mechanical and aesthetic foundation for the first Grand Seiko models that followed, the Crown line is deeply significant within Seiko's historical catalog. Characterized by elegant proportions, reliable manual wind calibers, and refined dial layouts, these watches established the design language that would define Japanese dress watches throughout the 1960s.
