Applied gold-tone indices are bright and completely intact, providing excellent contrast. The script and text printing across the dial are crisp, showing no visible loss. Time is indicated by gold-tone dauphine hands, which are original and show a gentle, age-appropriate patina, displaying light oxidation and minor spotting visible under magnification.
Case and Crystal
The stainless steel case presents honest vintage wear with preserved geometry. Its thin, straight lug profile remains well-defined, complemented by a smooth, thin bezel integrated into the case design. Light surface scratches consistent with age are present across the case and bezel. The caseback engravings remain clear and legible. An unsigned knurled crown with intact plating sits at the right flank. A clear, domed acrylic crystal protects the dial, showing no significant scratches or crazing.
Movement
Inside beats the manual wind Seikosha caliber 560, featuring 19 jewels. The movement appears very clean, exhibiting no obvious signs of corrosion or heavy oxidation, though minor wear is visible on some screw heads. Engravings reading SEIKOSHA, 19 JEWELS, and 560 are clearly visible. The timegrapher records -2-4s/day. Exhibiting remarkable accuracy and consistency, performing brilliantly for a vintage timepiece.
Strap
The watch is fitted with a complementary modern black leather strap featuring white contrast stitching. It appears to be in lightly used or new condition, finished with an unsigned clasp.
Condition
Excellent vintage condition. The stainless steel case and bezel show honest wear with light surface scratches and a well-defined lug profile. The silver sunburst dial is exceptionally clean, while the original dauphine hands display minor spotting and light oxidation under magnification. The acrylic crystal is clear. The movement is very clean, with only minor wear visible on some screw heads, and is performing very strongly according to the timegrapher data.
