Dial and Hands
The silver sunburst dial features applied faceted indices and crisp, legible printing. Under macro inspection, the dial shows a fine, even spotting and patina, presenting an attractive vintage character with no major scratches or significant damage. The dauphine-style hands are original and display visible oxidation and spotting on their metal surfaces, consistent with the graceful aging of the dial.
Case and Crystal
The 34mm stainless steel case shows honest wear, with scattered scratches and minor dings typical for its age. The lugs retain their general shape but show signs of previous polishing. A smooth, integrated steel bezel frames the domed acrylic crystal, which shows minor surface scratches and dust but remains generally clear. The watch retains its scalloped crown, clearly signed with the Omega logo despite some surface wear. The caseback features a clear Seamaster hippocampus medallion with some surface scratches, while the inner caseback is correctly stamped with Omega branding and the reference number.
Movement
Inside beats the copper-colored Omega caliber 552 automatic movement, engraved with 24 jewels and the matching serial number. The plating is bright and clean, showing minimal signs of oxidation or tool marks, and both the rotor and bridges are well-preserved with screw heads appearing in good condition. Recording -15-17s/day on the timegrapher, it is exhibiting remarkable accuracy and consistency, performing brilliantly for a vintage timepiece. The movement was serviced on 13 June 2026.
Strap
The watch is fitted with a complementary black leather strap featuring white contrast stitching, which appears to be in lightly used condition.
Condition
Good vintage condition. The movement was serviced on 13 June 2026 and, supported by the recorded timegrapher result, is performing very strongly. The stainless steel case presents honest wear with scattered scratches, minor dings, and signs of previous polishing on the lugs. The dial and hands are well-preserved, displaying a charming and even oxidation. The domed acrylic crystal has minor surface scratches but remains clear.
Dimensions
The case measures 34 mm (excluding the crown).

History
The Omega Seamaster line, introduced in 1948, quickly became a pillar of the brand's catalog, celebrated for its robust construction and elegant styling. By the early 1960s, references like the 14761 perfectly bridged the gap between durable everyday wear and refined dress watches. The caliber 552 automatic movement is widely recognized among collectors as one of Omega's finest mid-century achievements, renowned for its reliable performance and beautiful copper-finished aesthetics.
