Dial and Hands
The exceptionally clean gold-tone dial features a striking vertical brushed finish that gives the watch a sophisticated visual texture. The printed text is crisp and intact, complemented by an applied Omega logo. The black baton indices show no significant degradation, perfectly matching the black baton hands, which are straight, clean, and free of visible corrosion or paint loss. Together, they create a highly legible and well-preserved face.
Case and Crystal
The 33 mm gold-plated case features straight lugs and an integrated smooth gold-plated bezel, retaining good overall form with honest wear consistent with age. The case shows moderate surface scratches and handling wear, with some visible plating wear on the lug edges and caseback rim. The stainless steel press-in caseback displays scratches and retains a protective sticker remnant. The fluted crown is finished with a black cabochon insert and exhibits plating wear on its edges. The flat crystal appears generally clear, with some minor surface scratches visible under certain lighting conditions.
Movement
Powering this De Ville is the manual wind Omega caliber 625. The movement is very clean, with its signature copper-colored plating remaining bright and intact. The screw heads and gears show no significant damage or corrosion. It bears clear engravings reading OMEGA, SWISS, 625, UNADJUSTED, SEVENTEEN 17 JEWELS, alongside the serial number 39849356. Recording -14-16s/day on the timegrapher, the movement is exhibiting remarkable accuracy and consistency, performing brilliantly for a vintage timepiece.
Strap
The watch is fitted with a black textured leather strap that shows moderate wear and creasing. It is secured by a gold-tone buckle featuring an applied Omega logo. The signed buckle displays significant plating wear and oxidation, presenting with heavy patina.
Condition
Good vintage condition. The gold-plated case shows moderate surface scratches and handling wear, with plating loss concentrated on the lug edges, caseback rim, and crown. The dial and hands remain exceptionally clean and well-preserved. The crystal exhibits minor surface scratches, while the leather strap and signed buckle display visible wear and oxidation. Supported by the recorded timegrapher result, the movement is performing very strongly.
