Dial and Hands
The dial presents an exceptionally clean, vertically brushed champagne surface that plays beautifully with the light. The typography is sharp and flawlessly preserved, featuring the classic printed Omega logo and serif OMEGA text below twelve o'clock, balanced by DE VILLE in clean sans-serif above six o'clock. The hour markers are printed as elongated black batons, perfectly matched by the slender black stick hands. The dial condition is outstanding, showing no visible spots, moisture marks, discoloration, or surface damage, maintaining a fresh and highly attractive aesthetic that is increasingly difficult to find in watches of this era.
Case and Crystal
The elegant round case features a smooth bezel and classic straight lugs, executed in twenty-micron gold plating as indicated by the interior caseback stamp. The surfaces show honest, light signs of wear with minor superficial scratches consistent with careful use over the decades, while retaining its original geometry and sharp lug profiles. The original Omega-signed crown exhibits some gentle wear and tarnishing to the fluting but remains highly functional and authentic to the piece. The stainless steel snap-on caseback displays a clean brushed finish with only faint handling marks. The crystal is clear and well-preserved, offering an unobstructed view of the pristine dial beneath.
Movement
Inside beats the Omega Caliber 625, a robust and highly regarded manual-winding movement. The copper-toned plates and bridges are in excellent visual condition, clearly stamped with the Omega nomenclature, caliber number 625, and seventeen jewels designation. The movement serial number 39833940 is crisply engraved, dating the production accurately to the mid-seventies. Exhibiting remarkable accuracy and consistency, performing brilliantly for a vintage timepiece. The timegrapher displays -2 to -6 seconds per day with strong amplitude.
Strap
The watch is fitted with a handsome dark grey leather strap featuring an elegant embossed pattern and contrasting stitching. It is secured with a complementary gold-tone pin buckle, perfectly completing the sophisticated dress watch aesthetic.
Condition
Excellent vintage condition. The watch has been wonderfully preserved, with a dial that remains virtually flawless and a case that shows only light, age-appropriate wear. The movement is exceptionally clean and running with impressive precision.

During the 1970s, Omega expanded the line with ultra-slim manual-winding models like this reference, prioritizing sophisticated aesthetics and reliable Swiss mechanics for the discerning gentleman.
