History
The Omega Seamaster line, introduced in 1948, was originally designed as a robust and reliable daily timepiece built to withstand active use. By the late 1960s, the collection had evolved into a diverse range of elegant yet durable watches suitable for almost any occasion. The caliber 565 is well-regarded among collectors for its robust architecture and practical quickset date mechanism, representing a high point in Omega's mid-century automatic movement production.
