Dial and Hands
The silver sunburst dial is exceptionally clean and well-preserved, displaying a bright finish with no significant spotting or staining. The applied indices feature black inserts that perfectly match the hands, while all printed text remains crisp and fully intact. Small luminous plots at the outer edge of the indices are present and show consistent aging. The original stick hands display noticeable age-related oxidation and dark spotting across the metal surfaces and luminous material, which is particularly evident on the minute hand.
Case and Crystal
The stainless steel case retains its original geometry and honest vintage character. The brushed finish on the upper lugs remains visible, while the polished case flanks and smooth polished bezel show moderate surface scratches and minor dings consistent with age and use. The inner caseback features clear factory engravings. The watch is fitted with a signed Omega crown that shows minor wear to its knurling. A domed acrylic crystal protects the dial, remaining clear but exhibiting some light surface scratches visible under direct lighting.
Movement
Inside the case beats the Omega Caliber 565 automatic movement, engraved with OMEGA WATCH Co SWISS and TWENTY-FOUR 24 JEWELS. The movement presents in excellent visual condition, with its signature copper-colored plating remaining bright and well-preserved. There is no significant corrosion or oxidation visible on the plates or bridges, and the screw heads appear clean. Recording +10+12s/day on the timegrapher. Exhibiting remarkable accuracy and consistency, performing brilliantly for a vintage timepiece.
Strap
The watch is fitted with a modern black leather strap detailed with white contrast stitching. It appears to be in near-new condition with minimal creasing, offering a comfortable and classic aesthetic.
Condition
Good vintage condition. The watch presents an exceptionally clean dial offset by visible oxidation on the original hands. The stainless steel case shows honest wear, including moderate scratches and minor dings along the polished flanks and bezel. The movement is visually bright and, supported by the recorded timegrapher result, is performing very strongly.
Dimensions
The case measures 34 mm in diameter, excluding the crown.

History
The Omega Genève line was produced in large quantities and served as an accessible, reliable entry point into the brand catalog during the mid-twentieth century. Originally introduced as a premium dress watch line in the 1950s, the Genève evolved to encompass a wide variety of versatile, everyday timepieces by the 1970s. The Caliber 565 automatic movement found within this example is highly respected among collectors for its durable architecture and efficient quickset date function, representing a high point in Omega vintage mechanical production.
