History
The Omega De Ville line emerged as a symbol of refined dress watch design during the mid-twentieth century. Produced in the 1960s, the reference 531.005 was specifically crafted as a women's timepiece, emphasizing elegant proportions and sophisticated simplicity. It utilizes the Omega caliber 630, a manually wound movement operating at 19,800 beats per hour, equipped with a lever escapement and an Incabloc shock absorber. This caliber was purposefully designed as a smaller movement to suit women's manual wind watches, ensuring reliable mechanical performance within a delicate and classic profile.
