    Om denna klocka

Now available at auction from Second Vintage A stylish 1970s Omega De Ville, this timepiece draws the eye immediately with its unusual faceted crystal and striking deep blue crosshair dial. The elegant rectangular case profile houses the reliable caliber 625 manual-wind movement, presenting a highly attractive geometric aesthetic characteristic of the era. Brand: Omega Model: De Ville Reference Number: 5110378 Serial Number: 35990954 Movement: Manual-wind caliber 625 Dial: Deep blue vertically brushed with white crosshair design Case Size: 24mm (excluding the crown) Case Material: White gold plated, stainless steel back Production Year: Circa 1972 Condition: Good vintage condition. Timegrapher: +8+10s/day, performing remarkably well. Dial and Hands The exceptionally clean and striking dial features a deep blue vertically brushed finish, accented by a crisp white crosshair design and printed text. There is no significant spotting, staining, or damage visible on the dial surface. The well-preserved white painted stick hands match the dial accents beautifully, with the paint remaining intact and showing only minor signs of aging or texture visible under magnification. Case and Crystal The elegant rectangular case retains its distinct geometric shape, though it exhibits significant plating loss on the edges and corners, exposing the base metal beneath. Moderate scratches and handling marks are present throughout the case body, and the stainless steel caseback shows light surface scratches. The signed Omega crown shows plating wear on its knurled edges. Adding wonderful depth to the watch is a distinctive faceted crystal, which displays some light surface scratches and minor edge wear. Movement Inside is the Omega caliber 625 manual-wind movement, featuring bright and clean copper-colored plating. The movement shows no visible corrosion, oxidation, or significant scratches, and the screw heads appear in good condition. Engravings for the Omega Watch Co, caliber 625, the serial number 35990954, and seventeen jewels are clearly present. Exhibiting remarkable accuracy and consistency, performing brilliantly for a vintage timepiece. The timegrapher records a rate of +8+10s/day. Strap The watch is fitted with a black leather strap featuring contrast stitching. The strap complements the dial nicely and shows light wear and creasing from previous use. Condition Good vintage condition. The dial is exceptionally clean and striking, complemented by well-preserved hands. The distinctive faceted crystal shows minor edge wear and light surface scratches. The white gold-plated case exhibits heavy wear, notably significant plating loss on the edges and corners that exposes the base metal, along with moderate scratches and handling marks throughout the body and caseback. The mechanical performance is strongly supported by the recorded timegrapher data. Dimensions The case measures 24mm (excluding the crown). Remarks This De Ville stands out primarily due to its striking deep blue vertically brushed dial and unusual faceted crystal. While the case shows notable wear, the visual appeal of the crosshair dial and the strong performance of the caliber 625 movement make this a highly attractive 1970s geometric timepiece. History The Omega De Ville line originally emerged as part of the Seamaster family before becoming a standalone collection in 1967. Known for emphasizing elegance and refined design, the De Ville collection often experimented with distinctive shapes, textures, and crystals during the 1970s. The caliber 625 is a respected manual-wind movement from this era, widely utilized by Omega for its slim profile and reliable mechanical performance in elegant dress watches.
