Now available at auction from Second Vintage A classic and versatile vintage Omega dress watch, this Genève is distinguished by its beautifully preserved silver sunburst dial and distinctive applied indices with black inserts. Combining highly legible mid-century aesthetics with honest vintage character, it presents a compelling opportunity for enthusiasts of classic Swiss design. Brand: Omega Model: Genève Reference Number: 135019-TOOL 106 Movement: Mechanical Dial: Silver sunburst with applied steel indices and black inserts Case Size: 33 mm (excluding the crown) Case Material: Stainless Steel Production Year: 1960s Condition: Good vintage condition. Timegrapher: +15+18s/day, performing remarkably well. Dial and Hands The watch features a beautifully preserved silver sunburst dial in exceptionally clean condition. It is highly legible, detailed with applied steel indices that feature distinctive black inserts, matching the crisp black printed text and applied Omega logo. Intact lume plots remain present at the outer edge of the indices. The original baton hands feature coordinating black inserts and central lume strips. The lume appears aged but intact, while the metal portions of the hour and minute hands show noticeable age-related oxidation and visible surface wear, contrasting with the otherwise pristine dial surface. Case and Crystal The polished stainless steel case presents in honest vintage condition with normal wear. The geometry remains sound, with lugs that retain good shape. The thin, polished steel bezel is integrated with the case, and both the case and bezel display light surface scratches and minor handling marks consistent with age. The caseback features a clearly defined Seahorse engraving alongside its reference markings. On the side of the case, the signed Omega crown displays light wear to its knurling but remains well-defined. A clear domed acrylic crystal protects the dial, showing no significant scratches or crazing. Movement Inside beats an Omega mechanical movement, maintaining the reliable performance expected of the brand's mid-century calibers. The timegrapher records a rate of +15+18s/day. Exhibiting remarkable accuracy and consistency, performing brilliantly for a vintage timepiece. Strap The watch is fitted with a fresh black leather strap featuring an alligator grain pattern. It appears to be in near-new condition with minimal creasing, perfectly complementing the elegant dress watch aesthetic. Condition Good vintage condition. The case and bezel present honestly, displaying light surface scratches and minor handling marks typical of its era, while retaining good lug shape and a clear Seahorse engraving on the caseback. The silver sunburst dial is exceptionally clean and beautifully preserved, offering excellent legibility. The original hands show noticeable age-related oxidation and surface wear on their metal portions. Supported by the timegrapher reading of +15+18s/day, the movement is performing very strongly. Dimensions The case measures 33 mm in diameter, excluding the crown. Remarks This Genève stands out for its exceptionally clean silver sunburst dial and beautifully detailed black-insert markers. With its clearly engraved Seahorse caseback and excellent mechanical performance, it offers an authentic and rewarding vintage Omega experience. History The Omega Genève line was first introduced in 1953 as a premium collection paying homage to the brand's exacting workshops in Geneva, Switzerland. By the 1960s, the Genève had evolved into a versatile and widely produced family of dress and everyday watches. It became a popular and accessible entry into vintage Omega, celebrated by collectors today for its reliable mechanical movements, classic proportions, and elegant mid-century styling. / Second Vintage SKU: OME-GXX-0024
