History
The Lord Matic Special series, introduced in the early 1970s, represents a pinnacle of automatic movement design from Seiko's Daini factory. Housing the sophisticated 52-series calibers, these models were positioned just below the Grand Seiko and King Seiko lines, offering high-grade mechanical performance wrapped in classic 1970s case geometry. The 5206 movement specifically is highly regarded by collectors as one of the finest automatic calibers produced before the widespread adoption of quartz technology.
