History
The 56GS series holds a significant place in horological history, introduced in late 1970. These models represent the final mechanical Grand Seiko timepieces produced before the brand temporarily ceased mechanical production due to the Quartz Crisis. The case design of the 5645-7010 follows Taro Tanaka's famous Grammar of Design principles, establishing a visual language that remains highly respected among collectors today.
