On the reverse, the charming dolphin motif caseback engravings remain clearly visible. The domed acrylic crystal exhibits some light surface scratches and edge wear visible under angled lighting. Movement Inside beats the automatic Caliber 6206B, a 26-jewel movement operating at 18,000 vibrations per hour, featuring Diashock shock resistance and Diafix lubrication. The gold-tone movement plates and rotor appear very clean, with crisp engravings and no visible corrosion, oxidation, or significant scratches. The timegrapher records +20+25s/day. Performing well within expected vintage tolerances; running strong and steady. The case and fluted bezel show honest wear, surface scratches, minor dings, and softened edges consistent with age and use, with possible light previous polishing to the lugs. The domed acrylic crystal presents light surface marks, while the movement remains remarkably clean and visually well-maintained. Dimensions The case measures 37mm (excluding the crown). Remarks This Seikomatic offers a sought-after 6 o'clock day window configuration and a beautifully preserved silver sunburst dial. The combination of the classic fluted bezel and the charming dolphin caseback makes it a highly appealing addition to any vintage Seiko collection. History The Seikomatic line was introduced in the early 1960s as Seiko's foray into high-end automatic watches and served as a direct predecessor to the 62GS. The reference 6206-8100 features a distinctive fluted bezel and a recessed crown at the 4 o'clock position, designed to emphasize its automatic winding nature. The Seiko 6206 movement debuted in 1963 as an improved version of the Caliber 400. Payment and Shipping Payment must be completed within 1–3 days after purchase.
