Dial and Hands
The dial is exceptionally clean and well-preserved, featuring a brilliant silver sunburst finish that catches the light beautifully. Applied faceted indices offer depth and sophistication, complementing the clean, minimalist no-date design. All printing, including the "Seiko Crown", "Diashock 21 Jewels", and "JAPAN" text, remains crisp and intact. There are no significant stains, spotting, or damage visible on the dial surface. The silver-tone dauphine hands provide an original appearance with light age-related patina, showing minor oxidation and micro-spotting visible under magnification.
Case and Crystal
The polished stainless steel case displays honest wear consistent with age while retaining good overall geometry. The case flanks and lugs exhibit light wear, and the caseback shows moderate scratches and scuffs. The thin, polished smooth bezel frames the dial elegantly and bears light surface scratches consistent with the rest of the case. A knurled, unsigned crown is fitted, appearing well-proportioned to the classic dress watch profile. The domed acrylic crystal is clear, with no major scratches, crazing, or cracks visible.
Movement
Inside the case beats the manual wind Seikosha caliber 560. The mechanism features 21 jewels and displays generally clean plates, with some minor surface scratches and light wear visible on the screw heads. Engravings on the movement read "SEIKOSHA", "21 JEWELS", "560", and "F S". The timegrapher records a rate of +10+15s/day. Exhibiting remarkable accuracy and consistency, performing brilliantly for a vintage timepiece.
Strap
The watch is fitted with a black leather strap featuring contrasting white and brown stitching. The material shows minimal signs of wear, presenting as a highly attractive pairing that complements the vintage character of the watch.
Condition
Excellent vintage condition. The watch is remarkably well-preserved, highlighted by an exceptionally clean dial and intact printing. The stainless steel case retains its shape well, showing moderate scratches and scuffs on the caseback alongside light wear on the lugs and flanks. The hands display minor oxidation visible under closer inspection. Supported by the recorded timegrapher results, the movement is performing very strongly.
Dimensions
The case size is 33 mm (excluding the crown).
