Brand: Seiko
Model: Crown
Reference Number: J15003E

Dial: Concentric circular 'record' texture with applied gold-tone indices
Case Size: 36 mm (excluding the crown)
Case Material: Gold-tone

Dial and Hands
The exceptionally well-preserved dial features a striking concentric circular 'record' texture. The printed text, including "Seiko Crown" and "Diashock 21 jewels", remains crisp and intact, while the applied gold-tone indices are beautifully preserved. Under magnification, very minor dust or spotting is visible. The original gold-tone dauphine hands show age-consistent oxidation, spotting, and surface wear under magnification.
Case and Crystal
The gold-tone case presents honest vintage wear with softened edges. It shows moderate scratches and handling marks, along with some plating wear and tarnishing visible on the lug edges and case flanks. A thin gold-tone bezel frames the dial, displaying scratches and minor plating wear consistent with the rest of the case. The unsigned knurled crown shows some plating wear. The domed acrylic crystal is clear, with no major scratches or cracks visible.
Movement
Inside beats the manual wind Seikosha caliber 560. The movement appears clean, displaying minor superficial scratches on the plates and no obvious signs of heavy corrosion or damage. It features crisp engravings reading "SEIKOSHA", "21 JEWELS", and "560". Recording -6-10s/day on the timegrapher. Exhibiting remarkable accuracy and consistency, performing brilliantly for a vintage timepiece.
Strap
The watch is fitted with a modern black leather strap featuring contrast white and yellow stitching. It appears to be in unworn or very lightly used condition.
Condition
Good vintage condition. The dial is exceptionally well preserved for its age, while the gold-tone case and bezel display honest wear, including moderate scratches, softened edges, and visible plating wear on the flanks and lugs. The hands show age-consistent oxidation. Supported by the recorded timegrapher result, the manual wind movement is performing very strongly.
Dimensions
The case measures 36 mm (excluding the crown).
Remarks
This Seiko Crown stands out due to its fantastic textured dial and elegant dress watch proportions. It offers a wonderful opportunity to acquire a distinctive and reliable 1960s timepiece with excellent mechanical performance.
