Dial and Hands
The exceptionally clean and attractive silver sunburst dial is very well preserved, showing minimal signs of aging or spotting. It features crisp cursive Seiko Crown script alongside the printed Diashock text, complementing the clean and bright applied gold-tone indices. The original gold-tone dauphine hands exhibit age-appropriate oxidation and minor spotting visible under macro inspection, adding genuine character to this vintage timepiece.
Case and Crystal
The 35 mm gold-plated case presents honest vintage wear, retaining its classic 1960s dress watch proportions. There is visible plating wear on the lug edges and the rim of the gold-filled caseback, along with light surface scratches consistent with age and normal use. The thin integrated gold-tone bezel also shows light scratches and minor plating wear on its edges. An unsigned knurled crown is fitted, displaying visible plating wear on the outer edge. The caseback interior is clearly stamped with material and serial information. The domed acrylic crystal is clear and well preserved, with no major scratches, cracks, or crazing visible.
Movement
Inside beats the manual-winding Seikosha Caliber 560, a 21-jewel movement that operates at 18,000 beats per hour. The movement is clean and well preserved, with screws and plates showing no obvious signs of corrosion or heavy tool marks. It features clear engravings reading SEIKOSHA, 21 JEWELS, and 560. Recording +20+22s/day, it is performing well within expected vintage tolerances; running strong and steady.
Strap
The watch is fitted with a complementary modern brown leather strap featuring red contrast stitching. It appears lightly used or new and is secured by an unsigned gold-tone buckle.
Condition
Good vintage condition. The watch presents honest wear with visible plating loss on the case edges, caseback rim, bezel, and crown, accompanied by light surface scratches consistent with its 1961 production year. The silver sunburst dial is a standout feature, remaining exceptionally clean and bright, while the original hands show age-appropriate oxidation under close inspection. The manual-winding movement is running strong and steady, supported by the timegrapher results.
Dimensions
The case measures 35 mm in diameter, excluding the crown.
