Dial and Hands
The watch features an excellently preserved silver dial defined by a striking vertically brushed texture. Applied baton indices with black inserts perfectly match the baton hands, creating a highly legible and cohesive aesthetic. A framed day-date window sits cleanly at the 3 o'clock position, while the applied Omega logo and crisp printed text remain fully intact. The dial and sweep seconds hand are clean, showing no significant spotting, staining, oxidation, or damage.
Case and Crystal
The 34mm stainless steel case retains its honest vintage wear and preserved geometry, featuring brushed lugs contrasting with a polished bezel. Light surface scratches and minor dings are present across the case and bezel, consistent with age and use. The caseback displays the raised Seamaster hippocampus medallion alongside light scratches from wear. The watch is fitted with its signed Omega crown, which exhibits some light wear along its knurled edge, and a domed acrylic crystal that shows some light surface scratches visible under certain lighting angles.
Movement
Powering this Seamaster is the Omega Caliber 1022 automatic movement, a 23-jewel mechanism featuring the engraved serial number 39433754. Visually, the movement shows significant aging; the rotor displays spotting, staining, and degradation, while the plates and bridges show some oxidation and wear. Despite these visual imperfections, the mechanism delivers strong technical results. The timegrapher reads +8s+10s/day. Exhibiting remarkable accuracy and consistency, performing brilliantly for a vintage timepiece.
Strap
The watch is fitted with its original signed stainless steel brick-link bracelet. The period-correct bracelet features an Omega signed clasp and endlinks stamped 725. It shows light surface scratches and wear consistent with age, complementing the overall character of the watch. It accommodates a maximum wrist size of 17.5cm.
Condition
Good vintage condition. The case and original bracelet present honest wear with light scratches and minor dings, while the vertically brushed silver dial and hands remain in excellent, clean condition. The domed acrylic crystal shows light surface marks. The movement displays significant visual aging and oxidation on the rotor and plates, yet, supported by the recorded timegrapher result, is performing very strongly.
Dimensions
The case measures 34mm in diameter, excluding the crown.
Remarks
This Seamaster offers a compelling combination of a highly attractive brushed silver dial and its original signed brick-link bracelet. Driven by a capable 1970s day-date caliber, it represents a highly wearable and authentic vintage Omega.
