An applied Omega logo sits elegantly below twelve o'clock, balanced by a neatly framed date window positioned at three o'clock. The dial printing remains crisp and fully intact throughout. The hands retain their luminous material, displaying a handsome, even aging with no significant oxidation visible. Under high magnification, very minor spotting can be observed on the dial surface, presenting as natural age-related character. Case and Crystal The stainless steel tonneau-shaped case features an integrated lug design that highlights 1970s styling. It is a well-preserved case with strong original geometry, showcasing a beautiful contrast between the strong original brushed finish on the top surfaces and the crisp, well-defined polished chamfers along the edges. The caseback is secured by four screws and features the highly detailed Constellation observatory medallion in excellent relief. A knurled and clearly signed Omega crown completes the right flank. The flat crystal sits slightly proud of the case body and remains clear, with no significant scratches or chips visible. The case exhibits minor superficial handling marks consistent with light, careful wear. The folding clasp is proudly signed with an applied Omega logo. The bracelet shows honest, normal wear, with moderate surface scratches on the links and clasp. It will comfortably accommodate a maximum wrist size of 18cm. Condition Excellent vintage condition. This Constellation has been very well preserved, retaining its strong case geometry and contrasting factory finishes. The vertically brushed silver dial remains highly attractive, with only very minor spotting visible under close inspection. The original integrated bracelet displays honest, moderate surface wear consistent with standard use. Supported by the recorded timegrapher result, the movement is performing very strongly. Dimensions 33 mm (excluding the crown) Remarks This Constellation represents a fantastic opportunity to acquire a well-preserved example of Omega's 1970s design language. The combination of the sharp tonneau case, the beautifully textured silver dial, and the original signed bracelet makes it a highly cohesive and attractive package for the discerning collector. History Introduced in 1952, the Omega Constellation was conceived as the brand's flagship chronometer, created to showcase their highest achievements in precision watchmaking. By the 1970s, the collection began adopting the bold, architectural design cues defining the era, transitioning toward tonneau cases and integrated bracelets while maintaining the strict chronometer standards that built the model's reputation. The observatory medallion on the caseback remains a lasting symbol of Omega's record-breaking precision trials at Kew-Teddington and Geneva, making these vintage chronometers a significant part of mid-century horological history. / Second Vintage SKU: OME-OCC-0047
