Dial and Hands
The watch features a striking silver and blue bullseye dial configuration that remains exceptionally clean and vibrant. All typography and printing are crisp throughout the display, and the date window positioned at 3 o'clock is clean. The luminous plots appear intact, displaying consistent aging across the dial surface. The time is indicated by well-preserved white painted hour and minute hands retaining their luminous material, accented perfectly by a contrasting orange sweeping seconds hand. There is no visible corrosion or significant paint loss on the handset, complementing the dial perfectly.
Case and Crystal
The stainless steel case showcases a distinctive elliptical shape, characterized by a radial brushed finish on the top surface. The recessed crown area is well defined and houses the correct signed Omega crown, which shows some wear to the knurling but remains functional. The case displays honest wear consistent with age, including visible dings and wear on the case edges, which are particularly noticeable on the lower edge near the caseback. A clear domed acrylic crystal protects the dial, presenting no major scratches or cracks and providing an unobstructed view of the vibrant display.
Movement
The watch is powered by an automatic mechanical movement. Timegrapher testing indicates a rate of +15+17s/day. Exhibiting remarkable accuracy and consistency, performing brilliantly for a vintage timepiece.
Strap
The watch is fitted with its original signed bracelet. This integrated stainless steel flat-link style bracelet features a brushed finish and shows normal surface scratches from use, reflecting period correct honest wear. The clasp is clearly signed with the Omega logo. The bracelet accommodates a maximum wrist size of 18.5 cm.
Condition
Excellent vintage condition. The dial and hands are exceptionally clean and vibrant, standing out as a major highlight of this example. The case retains its original brushed finishing but shows honest wear, including visible dings along the edges, most notably near the caseback. The original integrated bracelet displays normal surface scratches consistent with standard use. Supported by the recorded timegrapher result, the movement is performing very strongly.
Dimensions
The case measures 41 mm (excluding the crown).
Remarks
This Genève Dynamic offers a highly sought after silver and blue bullseye dial paired with a distinctive 1970s elliptical case. The presence of the original integrated bracelet and the remarkably clean dial make this a compelling acquisition for enthusiasts of vintage Omega design.
History
Introduced in the late 1960s and flourishing throughout the 1970s, the Omega Dynamic line was conceived to match the anatomy of the wrist. Its elliptical shape and integrated bracelet system represented a radical departure from traditional watchmaking aesthetics, embracing the futuristic and bold design language of the era. The Genève Dynamic became one of Omega's most successful models of the period, celebrated for its ergonomic comfort and highly legible, colorful dial layouts.
