Dial and Hands
The silver dial features a clean and minimalist character, elevated by a distinct vertical brushed finish that catches the light beautifully. Applied black baton indices provide excellent legibility and depth. The dial printing remains crisp and fully intact, with no visible spotting or moisture damage to detract from the refined aesthetic. High contrast is achieved through the black stick hands, which are preserved in excellent condition, displaying no visible oxidation or paint loss.
Case and Crystal
The stainless steel front-loading monocoque case offers a well-preserved, seamless profile. The polished finish displays light surface scratches consistent with careful wear over the decades. A smooth polished bezel is integrated into the case geometry, showing only light handling marks. The watch is fitted with a signed Omega crown featuring a knurled texture in good condition. The caseback retains its crisp engraving. Above the dial, a domed acrylic crystal remains clear with minimal visible wear, free of significant scratches or crazing.

Remarks
This De Ville is a superb example of vintage Omega design. The vertical brushed finish of the silver dial paired with the bold black markers creates a highly attractive visual dynamic, while the monocoque case ensures an elegant presence on the wrist.
History
The Omega De Ville collection originated in the 1960s as a sophisticated branch of the Seamaster line before becoming an independent family of watches in 1967. Designed to represent urban elegance, the De Ville prioritized refined aesthetics and slim profiles over the rugged sporting intentions of its siblings. The use of front-loading monocoque cases, often bearing the Tool 104 instruction for crystal removal, allowed Omega to create seamless casebacks and beautifully uninterrupted lines. These models remain highly appreciated for their classic proportions and enduring mechanical quality.
