These hands exhibit clean surfaces with minimal signs of oxidation, perfectly matching the dial furniture. An English day and date window is positioned at three o'clock.

The stainless steel case features brushed top surfaces contrasting with polished flanks. It presents honest vintage wear, displaying moderate scratches and handling marks consistent with age, while retaining its sharp overall geometry and strong original lines. An unsigned fluted crown sits flush with the case flank. The caseback is equipped with a convenient battery hatch, a signature design element of early Seiko quartz models. The flat crystal is clear, showing no major scratches, chips, or cracks visible.

History
During the 1970s, Seiko revolutionized the global watch industry through its rapid advancement of quartz technology. The Type II series was introduced as a high-quality, standard-production quartz line that brought the precision of early battery-powered movements to a broader audience. Characterized by reliable calibers like the 0903 and distinctive dial finishes, the Type II models represent a significant era in Seiko's catalog. Today, examples with unusual dial textures and vibrant colors are appreciated by vintage enthusiasts for their distinct 1970s aesthetic and historical context.
