It features applied faceted indices alongside applied Seiko and LM logos that catch the light beautifully. The surface remains exceptionally clean, showing no visible degradation, spotting, or moisture damage. Time is indicated by sharp, polished dauphine hands detailed with black central stripes, which remain clean and free of visible oxidation or corrosion.
Case and Crystal
The stainless steel cushion case presents honest wear, featuring brushed top surfaces that transition into polished flanks. A polished bezel ring frames the dial, displaying light scratches and wear consistent with the rest of the case. The watch carries moderate scratches and scuffs overall, reflecting its age and use. A small knurled crown sits partially recessed into the case flank. The flat crystal displays light surface scratches visible under angled light. There is noticeable dirt accumulation around the caseback threads and the sealing area.
Movement
Inside is the automatic caliber 5606A, featuring engravings that read SEIKO, 23 JEWELS, and JAPAN 5606A. The movement surfaces appear relatively clean, though significant dirt and grime accumulation is present on the case sealing edge outside the movement itself. Exhibiting remarkable accuracy and consistency, performing brilliantly for a vintage timepiece. The timegrapher records a rate of +6s+10s/day. The movement was serviced on 21 July 2026.

The watch is fitted with its original signed stainless steel multi-link bracelet. The clasp is signed SEIKO LM, and the endlinks are stamped XGB 081. The bracelet shows moderate wear and scratches on the links and clasp, and it accommodates a maximum wrist size of up to 19 cm.

Good vintage condition. The movement was serviced on 21 July 2026 and, supported by the recorded timegrapher result, is performing very strongly. The case and original bracelet exhibit moderate scratches and scuffs consistent with honest use, along with dirt accumulation around the caseback threads. The flat crystal bears light surface scratches. Conversely, the striking fumé dial and polished dauphine hands remain exceptionally well-preserved and clean, showing no visible degradation.

The case measures 37 mm in diameter (excluding the crown).

History
The Lord Matic line was introduced by Seiko in the late 1960s, positioned as a high-quality automatic offering just below the King Seiko and Grand Seiko ranges. Powered by the reliable 5600 series of movements, the Lord Matic became a canvas for Seiko's adventurous 1970s case geometries and vibrant dial designs. The caliber 5606 is a notable movement from this era, offering automatic winding and reflecting the brand's technical proficiency during a highly innovative period in Japanese watchmaking.
