Case and Crystal
Showcasing honest vintage wear on a striking 1970s design, the stainless steel unibody cushion case features defined brushed flanks and polished top surfaces that act as a seamless bezel area. The polished sections exhibit moderate scratching and scuffs consistent with age, though no major deep dents are observed. A small, partially recessed unsigned crown sits neatly at the side, typical for this model. The flat crystal is generally clear, presenting some minor surface scratches visible under certain lighting angles, but free from major chips or cracks.

Inside is the in-house automatic caliber 5606A, featuring 25 jewels. The movement appears visually clean, with crisp engravings reading "SEIKO", "25 JEWELS", and "JAPAN 5606A", and no obvious signs of corrosion or heavy oxidation on the rotor and bridges. The timegrapher records -50-55s/day. Running in operational condition. Maintains the authentic mechanical character of the watch.

The distinctive cushion case displays honest age-related wear, including moderate scratching and scuffs on the polished surfaces, while maintaining its defined brushed flanks. The crystal shows only minor surface scratches. The original mesh bracelet remains structurally sound, and the movement is running in operational condition.

History
Introduced in the late 1960s, the Seiko Lord Matic line was positioned just below the King Seiko and Grand Seiko ranges, offering high-quality automatic movements and refined styling to the discerning buyer. By the early 1970s, Seiko was experimenting with bold case geometries, leading to distinctive cushion and TV-shaped designs that defined the era. Powered by the reliable 5600 series calibers, the Lord Matic remains a favorite among collectors who appreciate its robust engineering and striking period-correct aesthetics.
