Dial and Hands
The silver dial features a striking concentric circular texture that creates an exceptionally clean and visually dynamic presence. Applied faceted baton indices remain clean and bright, contrasting sharply against the patterned surface. All printed text, including the brand and jewel count, is crisp with no visible loss. There is no significant spotting, staining, or moisture damage visible on the dial surface. The silver-tone dauphine hands are equally well-preserved and complement the dial perfectly, showing clean surfaces with only very minor signs of oxidation visible under magnification, and no deformation or significant scratches.
Case and Crystal
The polished silver-tone stainless steel case displays honest vintage wear while retaining a well-preserved overall form. The lugs maintain generally defined geometry, and the case surfaces show light scratches consistent with age. A thin, polished smooth bezel frames the dial, displaying similar light surface scratches. The plain, polished exterior of the caseback shows moderate wear, while the interior bears the serial number and brand logo. The watch is fitted with an unsigned knurled crown that retains well-defined plating and knurling. A domed acrylic crystal protects the dial, remaining clear with no major scratches, crazing, or chips visible, providing a distortion-free view.
Movement
Powering the watch is the manual winding Seikosha caliber 560, featuring 21 jewels and a visible going train. The movement plates display factory brushing along with some minor surface scratches and light wear. The screw heads show minor signs of previous handling, but there is no severe corrosion or heavy oxidation visible across the caliber. Engravings for the maker, jewel count, and caliber number are clearly legible. The timegrapher records -37-40s/day. Performing well within expected vintage tolerances; running strong and steady.
Strap
The watch is paired with a black leather strap featuring white contrast stitching and an unsigned polished buckle. The strap appears to be in near-new condition with minimal creasing, offering a classic aesthetic that suits the vintage dress profile perfectly.
Condition
Excellent vintage condition. The dial and hands are remarkably clean, showing only minor oxidation on the hands under magnification. The stainless steel case and smooth bezel exhibit light surface scratches and moderate wear on the caseback, retaining honest character and defined lug geometry. The domed acrylic crystal is clear and free of major flaws. The manual-winding movement shows light wear and minor handling marks on the screws, with no severe corrosion. The timegrapher records -37-40s/day.

History
Introduced in 1959, the Seiko Crown debuted as a high-end manual wind dress watch, succeeding the Marvel as the flagship timepiece of the brand. The model line was produced until 1969 and is celebrated for its refined aesthetics and mechanical reliability. It is powered by the manually wound Seikosha caliber 560, which was produced in 19-jewel and 21-jewel variants. This specific caliber holds notable historical significance, as it served as the mechanical foundation for the very first Grand Seiko introduced in 1960.
