    About This Watch

Presented for auction by Second Vintage This classic 1960s Omega Seamaster immediately draws the eye with its striking, even dial patina. The distinct aging across the silver sunburst surface gives the watch a tremendous amount of vintage character, while the reverse retains a wonderfully crisp Seahorse medallion. Brand: Omega Model: Seamaster Movement: Automatic Dial: Silver sunburst with prominent patina and applied indices Case Size: 34mm (excluding the crown) Case Material: Stainless Steel Production Year: 1960s Condition: Good vintage condition. Timegrapher: +12+15s/day, performing remarkably well. Dial and Hands The silver sunburst dial displays prominent, even spotting and patina across the entire surface, resulting in a strong vintage character. It features an applied Omega logo alongside applied hour indices detailed with black inserts. A framed date window sits cleanly at the three o'clock position. The stick hands, also featuring black inserts, show visible oxidation and spotting on their metal surfaces, aging consistently with the dial. Case and Crystal The stainless steel case features brushed and polished lugs paired with a smooth polished bezel. The metal shows honest wear with light surface scratches consistent with age. On the reverse, the well-preserved caseback displays a crisp Seahorse medallion and a clear 'WATERPROOF' engraving. A scalloped crown, clearly signed with the Omega logo, sits at the three o'clock position. The domed acrylic crystal is clear, with no major scratches, cracks, or chips visible. Movement This Seamaster is powered by an automatic movement. On the timegrapher, it measures +12+15s/day. Exhibiting remarkable accuracy and consistency, performing brilliantly for a vintage timepiece. Strap The watch is fitted with a black leather strap featuring white contrast stitching and a faux alligator pattern. The strap presents beautifully and appears to be in near-new condition. Condition Good vintage condition. The case shows honest wear with light surface scratches, while the caseback remains notably well-preserved. The dial and hands display strong, even aging and oxidation that define the visual presence of the watch. Supported by the recorded timegrapher result, the movement is performing very strongly. Dimensions The case measures 34mm (excluding the crown). Remarks This Seamaster is defined by its highly characterful dial and sharp caseback details. The even patina and crisp Seahorse medallion make it a highly appealing example of Omega's classic mid-century design language. History The Omega Seamaster line, introduced in the mid-twentieth century, became a defining pillar of Swiss watchmaking. By the 1960s, the collection had evolved into a refined everyday timepiece, combining elegant aesthetics with reliable automatic movements. These models are celebrated by collectors for their classic proportions, applied dial details, and the distinguished Seahorse caseback medallion, representing an era of enduring design.
