Dial and Hands
The dial is preserved in pristine condition, featuring a brilliant silver sunburst finish that remains remarkably clean and free of spotting, staining, or moisture damage. The applied silver-tone indices are bright, showing no visible oxidation, and the printed text is crisp and fully intact. The matching silver-tone stick hands are notably clean, remaining straight and free of corrosion.
Case and Crystal
The stainless steel case displays honest wear consistent with its age. The polished surfaces and caseback exterior show moderate scratches and typical handling marks. The lugs retain good overall shape, though they exhibit some softening along the edges. The watch is fitted with a signed Omega crown, which displays moderate wear to its fluting. A clear domed acrylic crystal protects the dial, presenting well with no significant scratches, crazing, or chips visible.
Movement
Inside the case beats the manual-wind Omega Caliber 600, featuring 17 jewels and adjusted to two positions. The movement is in excellent visual condition, with its signature copper-colored plating remaining bright and clean. There is no visible corrosion, oxidation, or staining, and the screw heads appear in good condition. The timegrapher recorded +15+17s/day. Exhibiting remarkable accuracy and consistency, performing brilliantly for a vintage timepiece.
Strap
The watch is fitted with a brown leather strap featuring white contrast stitching, secured by an unsigned generic buckle. The strap lends a casual character to the timepiece and shows light visible wear.
Condition
Excellent vintage condition. The pristine silver sunburst dial and clean hands present beautifully, while the stainless steel case retains its honest vintage character with typical handling wear and softened lug edges. The manual-wind movement remains visually excellent and, supported by the recorded timegrapher result, is performing very strongly.
Dimensions
The case measures 35mm in diameter, excluding the crown.
Remarks
This 1961 Omega offers an incredibly clean dial that immediately draws the eye. Powered by a beautiful Caliber 600 movement and housed in a classic 35mm case, it represents a highly attractive vintage dress watch for the discerning enthusiast.
