Applied baton indices provide excellent legibility alongside a cleanly framed date window positioned at three o'clock. Upon close inspection, minor brownish spotting is visible on the extreme right edge near the three and four o'clock positions. The original dauphine style hands exhibit visible aging, with natural oxidation and spotting present across their metal surfaces. Case and Crystal The stainless steel case, marked with Staybrite on the interior, displays honest vintage wear. It bears moderate scratches and handling marks throughout its surfaces, while the lugs retain a generally good shape. Some pitting and dirt accumulation are visible near the edge of the caseback. A smooth integrated bezel surrounds the domed acrylic crystal, which shows minor surface scratches. The case is completed by its classic original crown, which is signed with the IWC fish logo and exhibits moderate wear consistent with the rest of the timepiece. Movement Inside the case beats the renowned IWC Caliber 8541 automatic movement. The mechanism displays clean plates and bridges, clearly revealing the sophisticated Pellaton winding system. Engravings reading C.8541, 1854121, and INTERNATIONAL WATCH Co. SWISS are clearly present, while the rotor edge shows minor wear. The timegrapher records +35+37s/day.
