Dial and Hands
The silver sunburst dial presents an attractive even patina, with spotting developed consistently across the entire surface. It features applied silver-tone indices, an applied Omega logo, and a framed date window at 3 o'clock, with all printing remaining fully legible. The dauphine style hands display visible oxidation and spotting on their metal surfaces, showing aging that is perfectly consistent with the character of the dial.
Case and Crystal
The stainless steel case retains honest vintage wear, showing moderate scratches and handling marks on the lugs and flanks. The caseback exterior features a crisp hippocampus logo, while the inner caseback is stamped ACIER STAYBRITE. A smooth polished bezel frames the watch, exhibiting light scratches consistent with the case. The watch retains its distinctive scalloped crown, clearly signed with the Omega logo and showing light surface wear. The domed acrylic crystal is clear with minimal visible scratches and no significant crazing or cracks.
Movement
The watch is powered by the Omega Caliber 562 automatic movement, featuring 24 jewels. The copper-colored finish presents a clean appearance with no obvious corrosion, while the rotor and bridges show well-preserved finishing. Engravings including TWENTY-FOUR 24 JEWELS and the Omega logo are clearly visible. The timegrapher recorded +2s+6s/day. Exhibiting remarkable accuracy and consistency, performing brilliantly for a vintage timepiece.

The watch is fitted with its original signed beads of rice style bracelet. The endlinks are stamped 570, and the clasp is signed with an applied Omega logo. The classic beads of rice bracelet shows normal surface scratches and wear on the links and clasp, and it will accommodate a maximum wrist size of 17.5cm.
Condition

The crystal remains clear, and the original beads of rice bracelet shows normal surface wear. Supported by the recorded timegrapher result, the movement is performing very strongly.

Remarks
This Seamaster offers an appealing combination of an evenly patinated dial and its original beads of rice bracelet. The presence of the crisp hippocampus caseback and scalloped signed crown makes it a highly attractive 1963 example.
History
The Omega Seamaster line was originally introduced in 1948 and quickly became renowned for its robust yet elegant design. This particular example is powered by the Omega Caliber 562, a 24-jewel automatic movement that operates at a beat frequency of 19,800 BPH and features a swan neck regulator. The 166.011 reference represents a highly appreciated era of Omega design language, offering a classic date complication in a versatile stainless steel case.
