Now available at auction from Second Vintage This distinctive Omega De Ville features a striking black and grey quadrant dial set within a classic rectangular profile. Complete with its original Omega signed crown and buckle, it offers an attractive and less common dial variant of a standard production model. Brand: Omega Model: De Ville Reference Number: 511.0458 Serial Number: 36392620 Movement: Manual wind Dial: Black and grey quadrant design with crisp white text Case Size: 20mm (excluding the crown) Case Material: Gold-plated, stainless steel caseback Production Year: Circa 1973 Condition: Good vintage condition. Timegrapher: 11-15s/day, performing remarkably well. Dial and Hands The striking black and grey quadrant design dial is detailed with crisp white printed text. Under macro inspection, minor dust particles are visible, though there is no significant damage. The gold-tone stick hands display an aged character, with visible oxidation and spotting across their surfaces. Case and Crystal The rectangular gold-plated case and integrated bezel area present honest wear, displaying moderate surface scratches, handling marks, and some plating wear visible on the sharp edges and corners. The watch retains its gold-tone knurled crown, signed with the Omega logo. The caseback is constructed of stainless steel. It is fitted with a flat rectangular acrylic crystal with beveled edges, which shows light surface scratches consistent with the rest of the case. Movement Inside is a manual wind Omega movement with a copper-colored finish. The movement presents a clean appearance with no obvious corrosion or damage and bears the engraved serial number 36392620 alongside the Omega Watch Co Swiss signature. Timegrapher results measure 11-15s/day. Exhibiting remarkable accuracy and consistency, it is performing brilliantly for a vintage timepiece. Strap The watch is paired with a classic black fabric-style strap, secured by a gold-plated Omega signed buckle. Condition Good vintage condition. The case exhibits honest wear with moderate surface scratches and some plating wear on the sharp corners and edges. The distinctive dial remains excellent, showing only minor dust particles under macro inspection, while the hands display visible oxidation and spotting. The acrylic crystal has light surface scratches. Supported by the recorded timegrapher result, the movement is performing very strongly. Dimensions The case measures 20mm (excluding the crown). Remarks This De Ville appeals through its distinctive quadrant dial and classic rectangular case profile. With its original Omega signed crown and buckle, alongside the reliable manual wind movement, it represents a compelling vintage timepiece with an unusual dial configuration. History The Omega De Ville reference 511.0458 was introduced to the international collection in 1973. The design features a rectangular case with covered or hooded lugs, a construction where the case envelops the strap. The dial is known for being divided into four brushed quadrants that reflect light differently. Payment and Shipping Payment must be completed within 1–3 days after purchase.
