Dial and Hands
The gold-tone dial is exceptionally clean and well-preserved, defined by a strong vertical brushed texture that catches the light beautifully. Applied black stick indices and crisp black printing provide excellent contrast and legibility. There is no visible spotting, staining, or damage to the dial surface. The matching black stick hands are clean and highly legible, complementing the indices perfectly. Their finish appears entirely intact with no visible corrosion or bending.
Case and Crystal
The cushion-shaped case features rounded corners and an integrated design with no distinct separate bezel. The case exhibits honest wear consistent with age, showing visible tarnish and plating wear on the case flanks and lug edges, alongside some plating degradation on the extremities. The stainless steel caseback shows light surface scratches. The gold-tone crown is signed with the Omega logo and displays visible tarnish and wear to the plating. A flat clear crystal protects the dial, presenting with no obvious scratches, chips, or crazing.
Movement
Inside beats the Omega Caliber 625 manual-winding movement, featuring 17 jewels and marked unadjusted. The copper-colored plating is bright and clean, presenting beautifully with no visible corrosion, oxidation, or significant scratches. The screw heads appear in good condition. Exhibiting remarkable accuracy and consistency, performing brilliantly for a vintage timepiece.
Strap
The watch is fitted with a black leather strap featuring contrast stitching. The strap shows moderate wear and creasing, remaining in serviceable condition.
Condition
Good vintage condition. The watch displays honest wear consistent with its 1979 production, primarily visible as tarnish and plating degradation on the case flanks, lug edges, and the signed crown. The stainless steel caseback bears light surface scratches. Conversely, the dial and hands remain exceptionally clean and well-preserved. Supported by the recorded timegrapher result, the movement is performing very strongly.
Dimensions
The case measures 24 mm (excluding the crown).

History
The Omega De Ville was introduced as a standalone collection in 1967 to represent the brand's most elegant dress watches. By the late 1970s, the line had embraced a variety of distinctive case geometries, including the classic cushion shape seen here. Powered by the dependable manual-winding Caliber 625, this model reflects Omega's dedication to refined aesthetics and reliable mechanical watchmaking during an era of significant design evolution.
