Dial and Hands
The silver sunburst dial features heavy, even spotting and freckling across its entire surface, creating a distinct and highly aged visual character. Applied baton indices with black inserts remain intact, while the printed text remains crisp and legible. A stepped date window frame at three o'clock is clean and well-defined. The matching stick hands carry black inserts alongside lume plots that have darkened significantly over time. Minor oxidation is visible on the metal surfaces of the hands under magnification.
Case and Crystal
The stainless steel tonneau-style case displays honest wear, with the brushed finish on the top surfaces still visible. The polished flanks and smooth integrated bezel show moderate scratches, scuffs, and handling marks. The case edges are generally well-defined but exhibit normal wear consistent with age. A signed Omega crown features well-defined knurling with minor wear. The domed acrylic crystal is generally clear, presenting some minor surface scratches visible at certain angles.
Movement
Powering this watch is the manual-wind Omega Caliber 613, featuring seventeen jewels and adjusted to two positions. The copper-colored plating is bright and remarkably clean, showing no visible signs of corrosion, moisture damage, or heavy tool marks. The screw heads and jewels appear in excellent condition, complementing the crisp factory engravings. Exhibiting remarkable accuracy and consistency, performing brilliantly for a vintage timepiece. The timegrapher records -10-15s/day with strong amplitude.
Strap
The watch is fitted with a brown leather strap featuring contrast white stitching. This modern strap appears unworn or very lightly used, offering a comfortable and stylish pairing for the tonneau case.
Condition
Good vintage condition. The dial presents a highly unique, heavily spotted patina, while the case shows honest wear with visible brushing and moderate scratches on the polished flanks. The hands exhibit significant darkening to the lume and minor oxidation. The pristine Caliber 613 movement remains exceptionally clean and, supported by the recorded timegrapher result, is performing very strongly.
Dimensions
The case measures 34 mm in diameter, excluding the crown.
Remarks
This Genève offers a highly individualized aesthetic due to its evenly freckled dial. Combined with the exceptionally clean Caliber 613 movement and a classic tonneau case shape, it is a compelling vintage Omega with genuine character.
