Applied black indices provide excellent contrast and feature intact, aged lume dots that match the aesthetic perfectly. The printed text remains crisp and fully intact, while a framed date window sits neatly at the 3 o'clock position. The dial presents a very clean overall appearance with minimal signs of aging. The black stick hands are fitted with lume inserts that match the dial dots well. Their surface finish is well preserved, showing minimal oxidation.
Case and Crystal
The stainless steel case features a smooth, integrated polished bezel and brushed and polished lugs. It remains in honest vintage condition, displaying light to moderate surface scratches consistent with normal wear. The case lines remain generally well-defined. The domed acrylic crystal shows some light surface scratches visible under angled lighting, but is free of any major cracks or chips. The caseback exhibits light wear and retains clear internal markings. The watch is fitted with a knurled steel crown, clearly signed with the Omega logo on its face.
Movement
Powering the watch is the copper-colored Omega Caliber 1481 automatic movement, appropriately engraved with 1481, OMEGA WATCH Co, SWISS, and the serial number 34746496. Developed as a joint venture between Omega and Tissot, this caliber features 21 jewels, operates at 21,600 vibrations per hour, and provides a power reserve of approximately 42 hours. It also includes a quickset date function operated by repeatedly pressing the crown. The movement is visually well-preserved, with clean plates and bridges showing minimal signs of oxidation. The rotor is present and visually intact, while the screw heads show minor handling marks. Recording +10+12s/day on the timegrapher. Exhibiting remarkable accuracy and consistency, performing brilliantly for a vintage timepiece.
Strap
The watch is paired with a black textured leather strap featuring contrast stitching. It is a standard leather strap in wearable condition, showing light wear and creasing from prior use.
Condition
Excellent vintage condition. This Omega Geneve has been well preserved, highlighted by an exceptionally clean dial and hands that show minimal aging. The case displays honest signs of use, with light to moderate surface scratches on the steel and bezel, though the geometry remains sound. The domed acrylic crystal and leather strap both show light wear consistent with normal use. Supported by the recorded timegrapher result, the movement is performing very strongly.

The case measures 34mm (excluding the crown).
Remarks
This Geneve stands out for its highly legible, vertically brushed silver dial and striking black accents. Paired with a fully marked caseback, a signed crown, and a robust Omega automatic movement, it is a highly wearable and attractive example of 1970s watchmaking.
History
Omega introduced the Genève line in the 1950s to pay homage to their high-end watchmaking facilities located in Geneva, Switzerland. By the 1970s, the Geneve collection had become a highly appreciated standard production model, known for its enduring design and reliable mechanics. This 1972 example is powered by the Caliber 1481, a notable movement developed in partnership with Tissot, representing a fascinating era of collaboration in Swiss watchmaking.
