The case shows honest wear consistent with age, including moderate scratches and dings visible on the polished flanks and edges. The caseback displays typical wear while retaining clear engravings. The crown is signed with the Rado anchor logo and shows minor wear to the knurling. The flat crystal features a slight edge bevel and remains generally clear with minor surface wear.
Movement
Powering the watch is a clean automatic ETA caliber 2824 movement. The Rado signed rotor and surrounding components show no obvious signs of heavy corrosion or damage, featuring clear engravings for 25 jewels and Swiss origin. The timegrapher recorded a rate of 7s+10s/day. Exhibiting remarkable accuracy and consistency, performing brilliantly for a vintage timepiece.
Strap
The watch is fitted with a period correct integrated stainless steel link bracelet. The bracelet is structurally sound and shows moderate surface scratches and normal wear consistent with the age of the timepiece. It will accommodate a maximum wrist size of up to 17.5cm.
Condition
Good vintage condition. The dial remains exceptionally clean and attractive with minimal aging. The faceted stainless steel case exhibits honest wear, displaying moderate scratches and dings along the polished flanks and edges. The original hands show visible oxidation, minor debris, and aged luminous material. The period correct integrated bracelet displays normal surface scratches. Supported by the recorded timegrapher result, the movement is performing very strongly.

History
During the 1970s, Rado built a strong reputation for producing watches with bold, unconventional case shapes and distinctive visual identities. The era saw the brand experimenting heavily with faceted cases, integrated bracelets, and striking dial configurations. The Ticino model reflects this creative design philosophy perfectly. By utilizing the robust ETA 2824 automatic movement, Rado ensured these striking designs were matched with dependable mechanical performance. This caliber has long been celebrated by collectors for its durability, serving as a reliable engine for countless notable timepieces of the period.
