Dial and Hands
The watch features a pristine and highly legible silver dial with a beautifully executed sunburst finish. Applied baton indices feature black inserts that provide excellent contrast against the silver background. The black printed text remains wonderfully crisp, and a framed date window sits neatly at the three o'clock position. There is no visible spotting, staining, or damage to the dial surface. The matching stick hands carry the same black inserts, creating a perfectly balanced visual profile. These hands present beautifully with clean surfaces and no visible oxidation or corrosion.
Case and Crystal
The stainless steel case features a distinctive square cushion shape with impressively sharp edges. The factory finishes remain well preserved, showing a crisp brushed finish on the upper surfaces that transitions cleanly to polished flanks. The case utilizes an integrated front design without a separate distinct bezel, enhancing the seamless geometric profile. The knurled crown is clearly signed with the Omega logo and retains good definition. The flat acrylic crystal is clear, presenting no significant scratches, crazing, or chips. Turning the watch over reveals noticeable surface scratches on the exterior caseback, representing honest wear. The inner caseback is correctly stamped with the 162.0052 reference and the CB maker mark.
Movement
Inside beats the copper-colored Omega automatic caliber 1012. The movement presents beautifully, with clean plates and bridges showing no visible corrosion or significant scratches. The rotor is intact and correctly signed, and the screw heads appear in good condition. Crisp engravings display the Omega name, caliber number, and matching serial number. Recording +10+12s/day on the timegrapher, this caliber 1012 is exhibiting remarkable accuracy and consistency, performing brilliantly for a vintage timepiece.
Strap
The watch is fitted with its original signed bracelet, featuring a stainless steel brick-link design that provides an attractive integrated look. The bracelet is secured by a signed Omega folding clasp, and the endlinks are correctly stamped 696. The links show only light surface wear consistent with careful use and exhibit no major deformation. The bracelet accommodates a maximum wrist size of 19cm.
Condition
Excellent vintage condition. The case retains its crisp geometry and well-preserved brushed and polished finishes, though noticeable surface scratches are present on the exterior caseback. The silver sunburst dial and matching hands are pristine, showing no visible damage or aging. The original brick-link bracelet remains in fantastic shape with only light wear. Supported by the strong timegrapher results, the movement is performing very well.
Dimensions
The case measures 31 mm (excluding the crown).

It represents a fantastic opportunity to secure a complete and honest vintage Omega.
History
The Genève collection was introduced by Omega in 1953 as a tribute to the brand's precision workshops in Geneva. By the 1970s, the line had evolved to encompass a wide variety of forward-thinking designs, reflecting the bold geometric aesthetics of the era. The caliber 1012 was part of a robust family of automatic movements developed by Omega during this period, designed to offer reliable daily performance in a relatively slim profile. Models like this square-cased reference perfectly demonstrate how Omega successfully integrated traditional mechanical watchmaking with the distinctive architectural design language of the decade.
