It is framed by a gold-tone fluted bezel that exhibits some softening of its edges and light wear to the plating. The gold-tone crown is signed with a stylized 'H' and shows moderate wear to its fluting. On the reverse, the caseback is detailed with the personalized limited edition engraving 'F. E. M. Egypt 099 of 500'. The flat crystal features a magnifier over the date window and remains clear, with no significant scratches or chips visible. The watch displays honest wear consistent with regular use, including moderate scratches on the polished case flanks and the two-tone bracelet. The bezel and crown show light softening and wear to their gold-tone finishes. The hands exhibit visible oxidation and spotting, while the distinctive Shriner dial remains in excellently preserved, clean condition. Dimensions The case measures 35mm in diameter, excluding the crown. Remarks This Hamilton Masterpiece stands out through its highly specific fraternal configuration. The combination of the applied Shriner logo, the factory diamond marker, and the limited edition numbering creates a watch with distinct character and genuine collectible appeal. History The reference 8482 is part of Hamilton's Masterpiece series, a line known for incorporating traditional styling cues like fluted bezels and two-tone finishes during the quartz era. Fraternal order dials hold a special place in watch collecting, representing personal affiliations and specific chapters in time. This 1990s example, with its 'Egypt' Shriners numbering, serves as a fascinating artifact of Masonic heritage alongside its classic mid-century-inspired design language.
