The beautifully preserved silver sunburst dial features crisp printed text, including the elegant cursive Goldfeather script, and applied indices in excellent condition. There is no significant spotting or moisture damage, leaving the surface remarkably clean. The dauphine style hands are sharp, showing only minimal oxidation visible under magnification.
Case and Crystal
The stainless steel case features a striking ultra-thin profile, designed to sit elegantly on the wrist. The lugs retain good shape, anchoring the geometry of the watch. It displays honest wear in the form of light surface scratches throughout the case body, extending to the thin integrated bezel. An unsigned knurled crown is fitted to the side, providing a firm grip for daily winding. The domed acrylic crystal is clear, showing no significant scratches or crazing, allowing an unobstructed view of the dial.
Movement
Powering the watch is a 25-jewel manual winding Seikosha movement, recognized by collectors as the Caliber 60M. The movement displays clean plates, with minor scratches on the bridges and some visible wear on the screw heads. It bears engravings reading "TWENTY-FIVE 25 JEWELS", "SEIKOSHA", and "375800". The timegrapher records a rate of -38-45s/day. Running in operational condition. Maintains the authentic mechanical character of the watch.
Strap
The watch is fitted with a black leather strap featuring white contrast stitching. The strap appears new or lightly used, complementing the elegant profile of the timepiece.

Excellent vintage condition. The dial is exceptionally clean, while the stainless steel case and bezel show honest, age-related wear with light surface scratches. The hands are well-preserved with minimal oxidation, and the acrylic crystal remains clear. The manual winding movement is running in operational condition.
Dimensions
The case measures 35mm (excluding the crown).
Remarks
This Goldfeather is a highly attractive example of Seiko's dedication to ultra-thin design. Its beautifully preserved dial and elegant cursive script make it a refined and highly wearable addition to any vintage dress watch collection.
History
The Seiko Goldfeather holds a significant place in the brand's mid-century catalog. Introduced as the world's thinnest center-second watch at the time of its debut, it was Seiko's ambitious answer to the ultra-thin watch trend that defined 1960s dress watch design. Powered by the 25-jewel manual winding Seikosha Caliber 60M, the Goldfeather successfully held this impressive global record until the release of the competing Citizen Diamond Flake in 1962. Today, finding these historically important dress watches with such clean dials is uncommon, making well-preserved examples highly appreciated by vintage enthusiasts.
