    Om denna klocka

Now available at auction from Second Vintage This highly characteristic 1970s Rado Scheidegg commands attention with a striking grey-to-brown gradient fumé dial, preserved in exceptionally vibrant condition. Housed in a distinctive stainless steel cushion case and fitted to its original signed flat-link bracelet, this collector favourite represents a compelling era of expressive Swiss watch design. Brand: Rado Model: Scheidegg Reference Number: 11014 Serial Number: 41650338 Movement: ETA caliber 2824 automatic, 25 jewels Dial: Grey-to-brown gradient fumé with applied faceted indices and red date Case Size: 35 mm (excluding the crown) Case Material: Stainless Steel Production Year: 1970s Condition: Excellent vintage condition. Timegrapher: +27+30s/day, running strong and steady. Dial and Hands The dial is vibrant and exceptionally well-preserved, featuring a striking grey-to-brown gradient fumé finish. It remains entirely clean with no visible spotting or damage. Applied faceted indices feature luminous plots that match the intact luminous inserts on the polished stick hands, which display a bright finish free from visible oxidation. An applied Rado anchor logo is positioned below twelve o'clock, while a distinctive red date display at the three o'clock position provides contrast to the rich earthy tones of the dial. Case and Crystal The stainless steel cushion case exhibits honest vintage wear, defined by brushed top surfaces that transition into polished flanks. The metal shows light to moderate scratches and handling marks consistent with age, alongside noticeable dirt and grime accumulation around the perimeter of the caseback. The watch is fitted with its correct signed crown featuring the Rado anchor logo and defined knurling with light wear. A domed acrylic crystal protects the dial, showing light surface scratches visible under certain lighting angles but remaining free from deep cracks or chips. Movement Inside the cushion case is the reliable ETA caliber 2824 automatic movement, featuring 25 jewels and a rotor signed by Rado. The caliber presents a clean overall appearance with no obvious signs of corrosion, moisture damage, or missing parts. Performing well within expected vintage tolerances; running strong and steady. Strap The watch is fitted with its original signed stainless steel flat-link bracelet, providing a sturdy and authentic presence on the wrist. The bracelet secures via a signed Rado clasp featuring the anchor logo. It exhibits moderate surface scratches and scuffs across the links and clasp, consistent with the wear on the case, and accommodates a maximum wrist size of 19 cm. Condition Excellent vintage condition. The dial and hands are beautifully preserved, standing out as the visual highlight of the timepiece. The stainless steel cushion case and original bracelet show honest light to moderate scratches and scuffs, with dirt and grime accumulated around the caseback perimeter. The domed acrylic crystal bears light surface scratches but remains structurally sound. Supported by the timegrapher reading, the mechanical movement is performing well within expected vintage tolerances. Dimensions The case measures 35 mm in diameter, excluding the signed crown. Remarks This Rado Scheidegg offers a superb opportunity to acquire a distinctive 1970s aesthetic. The combination of the beautifully preserved fumé dial, the highly wearable cushion case, and the original signed bracelet makes this a compelling addition for enthusiasts of expressive mid-century design. History During the 1970s, Rado established a strong reputation for producing highly distinctive watches that pushed the boundaries of conventional case geometry and dial execution. While the brand produced many timepieces during this era, the Scheidegg model with this specific gradient fumé dial configuration is less commonly seen. Relying on the proven architecture of ETA automatic calibers, Rado ensured that their avant-garde designs were backed by reliable Swiss mechanics, creating watches that remain both visually striking and highly wearable today. Payment and Shipping Payment must be completed within 1–3 days after purchase. Your watch will be professionally and securely packaged, then shipped with tracking and insurance for your peace of mind. We use fast express shipping, with typical delivery within 1–4 business days, depending on the destination. Please note that vintage watches may show minor signs of wear, aging, or imperfections, which are considered normal for watches of this age. We kindly ask you to review all photos carefully before bidding. We photograph each watch from multiple angles to provide the most accurate representation possible, and the photos form an important part of the description. The timegrapher assessment if provided is seen as an indication of the movement’s condition under fully wound testing conditions. As with all vintage watches, results may vary in daily use. If you have any concerns regarding functionality or defects after delivery, please contact us within 3 days of receiving the watch so we can assist you. As with all used watches, water resistance is not guaranteed. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us after the auction ends. / Second Vintage SKU: RAD-SXX-0016
