    Om denna klocka

Now available at auction from Second Vintage This classic vintage Rado design centers around the distinctive Purple Horse model, highlighted by its crisp red seahorse dial logo and a fluted steel bezel. Retaining its original signed folded-link bracelet and a deeply engraved caseback, this 1970s timepiece presents a highly cohesive visual presence. The well-preserved silver sunburst dial rounds out a very attractive and recognizable configuration. Brand: Rado Model: Purple Horse Reference Number: 11782/1 Serial Number: G.15144 Movement: Automatic Dial: Silver sunburst with applied indices and red seahorse logo Case Size: 34mm (excluding the crown) Case Material: Stainless steel Production Year: 1970s Condition: Good vintage condition. Movement serviced on 12 September 2026. Timegrapher: +10+12s/day, performing remarkably well. Dial and Hands The silver sunburst dial is clean and attractive, presenting a well-preserved finish. Applied indices and the recognizable Rado anchor logo remain fully intact, while the distinctive red seahorse logo is crisp and vibrant. Under macro inspection, minor dust particles are visible on the dial surface. The dauphine style hands display visible oxidation and spotting across their metal surfaces, and the lume plots on the hands appear aged, adding to the watch's character. Case and Crystal The stainless steel case exhibits honest vintage wear, with moderate surface scratches and scuffs consistent with age. The lugs retain their general shape but show signs of wear. Framing the dial is a fluted steel bezel; the edges show some softening from wear, and there is an accumulation of dirt and grime in the recesses. The crown is signed with the Rado anchor logo and shows moderate wear to the knurling. Over the dial sits a domed acrylic crystal, which has light surface scratches visible under certain lighting angles. The caseback engravings, featuring the seahorse motif, remain deep and clearly legible. Movement Inside is a 25-jewel automatic movement equipped with a signed rotor. The plates and bridges appear clean with minimal signs of oxidation, while the screw heads show minor handling marks. The movement is engraved with the Rado name and Swiss markings. The timegrapher records +10+12s/day. Exhibiting remarkable accuracy and consistency, performing brilliantly for a vintage timepiece. The movement was serviced on 12 September 2026. Strap The watch is fitted with its original signed bracelet. This folded link stainless steel bracelet shows moderate surface scratches and normal wear throughout. The clasp is signed with the Rado name and anchor logo. The bracelet accommodates a maximum wrist fit of 17.5cm. Condition Good vintage condition. The movement was serviced on 12 September 2026 and, supported by the recorded timegrapher result, is performing very strongly. The stainless steel case and original folded link bracelet display moderate surface scratches and scuffs. The fluted bezel shows softening along its edges and some grime in the recesses, while the signed crown has moderate wear to the knurling. The dial remains highly attractive with minor dust visible under magnification, and the dauphine hands show visible oxidation and aged lume. The domed acrylic crystal bears light surface scratches. Dimensions The case measures 34mm (excluding the crown). Remarks This Purple Horse offers a recognizable vintage Rado aesthetic, complete with its original signed folded-link bracelet and crisp dial details. The clearly legible caseback engravings and strong mechanical performance make it a compelling choice for collectors of the era. History Rado introduced the "Horse" collection in the late 1950s, starting with the Green Horse model. The Purple Horse soon followed as part of this expanding lineage, offering a distinctive aesthetic within the brand's mid-century catalog. These models helped establish Rado's reputation for distinctive design elements, such as the rotating anchor logo and the signature seahorse caseback engravings, which became recognizable hallmarks of the era.
