Dial and Hands
The striking dial is wonderfully preserved, featuring a deep brown gradient fumé finish that shifts beautifully in the light. The dial is further distinguished by the signature applied Rado anchor logo and a vibrant red date display, all remaining in excellent preservation and offering fantastic visual depth.
Case and Crystal
The stainless steel tonneau case presents honest wear, retaining its brushed top surface and polished flanks. Moderate scratches and scuffs consistent with age are present across the case geometry, reflecting its history of regular use. The watch is topped by a distinctive faceted crystal that remains clear with no major scratches visible, adding immense character to the face of the timepiece. The crown is visible and signed with the Rado anchor logo, featuring good knurling for ease of operation.

Inside beats a Swiss automatic ETA caliber 2824 movement, engraved with the Rado signature and 25 jewels. The movement displays clean plates and a clean rotor, with no visible corrosion present. On the timegrapher, it recorded -24s-26s/day. Performing well within expected vintage tolerances; running strong and steady.

Good vintage condition. The dial, hands, and faceted crystal remain in excellent, highly attractive shape. The stainless steel case and original bracelet show honest wear with moderate scratches and scuffs expected from regular use over the decades. The automatic movement is running well and performing steadily on the timegrapher.
Dimensions
The case measures 36 mm in diameter, excluding the crown.
Remarks
This Alpineum offers a fantastic combination of a pristine brown gradient dial and an eye-catching faceted crystal. Complete with its original bracelet, it represents a highly wearable and character-rich slice of 1970s design.
