This 1966 Omega Seamaster 600 features a distinctive, heavy "stardust" speckled dial patina that gives the watch a highly individual visual character. Reference Number: 136.011
Serial Number: 23292281
Movement: Manual-winding Caliber 611
Dial: Distinctive even speckled patina with applied indices
Case Size: 34 mm (excluding the crown)
Case Material: Gold-plated, stainless steel caseback
Production Year: 1966

Dial and Hands
The dial displays a heavy, even "stardust" or speckled patina across the entire surface, creating a distinctive aesthetic. Applied indices and the Omega logo show light oxidation that complements the dial's natural aging, while the printed text remains crisp and easily legible. The lume plots have aged and darkened over time. The hands exhibit surface oxidation and spotting consistent with the dial, and their lume inserts are similarly aged and darkened.
Case and Crystal
The gold-plated case features the classic Seamaster profile with an integrated smooth bezel. The case exhibits significant gold plating loss on the lugs, particularly on the edges and tips, alongside visible plating wear along the case flanks and bezel edge. The signed Omega crown shows significant plating loss and wear on its knurling. The stainless steel caseback, which features the classic Seamaster hippocampus logo, shows light surface scratches but retains clear engravings. The domed acrylic crystal is clear, with minor surface scratches visible under direct light.
Movement
Inside is the Omega Caliber 611, a 17-jewel manual-wind movement adjusted to two positions, featuring a semi-quickset date function. The copper-colored plating is bright and clean, with crisp and clear engravings and no obvious signs of corrosion or damage. Exhibiting remarkable accuracy and consistency, performing brilliantly for a vintage timepiece. The timegrapher records a rate of -15-17s/day.
Strap
The watch is fitted with a black leather strap featuring white contrast stitching. The strap appears to be in very good condition with minimal wear, providing a comfortable and classic pairing for the gold-plated case.
Condition
Good vintage condition. The watch shows considerable honest wear, most notably the significant gold plating loss on the lugs, case flanks, bezel, and crown. The dial and hands present a heavy, even speckled patina and oxidation that give the piece a highly distinct character. The stainless steel caseback is well preserved with light scratching, and the crystal shows minor surface marks. The movement is remarkably clean and running with strong consistency based on timegrapher results.

Remarks
This Seamaster 600 stands out primarily for its striking "stardust" dial patina, offering a highly individualized look. Paired with the reliable Caliber 611 movement and the classic hippocampus caseback, it represents a character-driven example of 1960s Omega design.
History
The Seamaster 600 series was introduced in the mid-1960s, recognized for its classic styling and use of Omega's 600-series manual-wind calibers. Reference 136.011 is a standard production model from this era, typically measuring approximately 34.5 mm in diameter with an 18 mm lug width. This particular example from 1966 houses the Caliber 611, a well-regarded manual-wind movement equipped with a semi-quickset date, reflecting the practical and enduring mechanical design of mid-century Omega timepieces.
