Dial and Hands
The exceptionally clean silver dial features a radiant sunburst finish that remains beautifully preserved with minimal signs of aging or spotting. Applied baton indices with striking black inserts provide excellent contrast and legibility, complemented by a neatly framed date window positioned at three o'clock. The classic Dauphine style hands mirror the dial architecture with matching black inserts. Under magnification, the hands display light oxidation consistent with careful aging, maintaining their well-preserved character.
Case and Crystal
Constructed from durable stainless steel, the case retains good lug thickness and shape, presenting honest wear throughout. The surfaces exhibit light scratches and handling marks entirely appropriate for the age of the timepiece. A smooth polished steel bezel frames the domed acrylic crystal, which is clear with no significant scratches or crazing visible. The scalloped style crown is clearly signed with the Omega logo. Turning the watch over reveals a crisp hippocampus medallion on the solid caseback.
Movement
Powering this timepiece is the Omega Caliber 562 automatic movement, featuring 24 jewels and the brand's signature copper-colored plating. The movement presents a clean appearance with no obvious corrosion, while the rotor and bridges remain well preserved. The caliber is clearly engraved with the Omega signature and the serial number. Timegrapher: +9+11s/dayMovement Serviced on 1/9/2026. Exhibiting remarkable accuracy and consistency, performing brilliantly for a vintage timepiece. The movement was serviced on 1 September 2026.

Excellent vintage condition. The movement was serviced on 1 September 2026 and, supported by the recorded timegrapher result, is performing very strongly. The dial is exceptionally clean, displaying minimal signs of age, while the hands retain their original charm with only light oxidation visible under magnification. The stainless steel case shows honest wear with light surface scratches and handling marks, yet the lugs remain thick and nicely shaped. The domed acrylic crystal is clear, and the polished steel bezel presents light surface scratches consistent with the rest of the case. The strap is in excellent, lightly used condition.

Remarks
This 1965 Seamaster offers a highly attractive combination of a pristine sunburst dial and a robust Caliber 562 movement. The presence of the crisp hippocampus medallion and the signed scalloped crown makes this a compelling choice for enthusiasts seeking a well-preserved mid-century Omega.
History
The Omega Seamaster line was introduced in 1948 to celebrate the brand's centenary, quickly establishing a reputation for durability and everyday elegance. By the 1960s, the Seamaster had evolved into the definitive mid-century dress watch, characterized by elegant dial layouts, robust automatic movements, and refined case geometry. The Caliber 562 is highly regarded among collectors for its reliability and precision, representing a peak era of Omega's in-house automatic movement production. This configuration remains a standard and highly popular choice, offering enduring mechanical quality and classic mid-century appeal.
