History
The Omega Seamaster was introduced in 1948 to celebrate the brand's 100th anniversary, based on water-resistant designs made for the British military during World War II. By the late 1960s, the Seamaster had evolved into a robust yet elegant dress watch, setting the standard for the "gentleman's daily wearer." The inclusion of the Caliber 565 in this era marked a high point in Omega's serial production movements, renowned for their durability and precision.
